Groupe Alliances EBRD sign partnership to develop Moroccan tourism industry

Casablanca – Alliances Hospitality, subsidiary of the Groupe Alliances which specializes in hotel industry, signed, on Friday in Casablanca, a partnership with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) on the building of 3 and 4 star hotels in Morocco.The agreement was signed by CEO of the Groupe Alliances Mohamed Alami Lazraq and tourism director at EBRD Claudia Pendred.The project provides for an investment worth 50 mln euros, 10 mln euros to be paid by EBRD and 15 by the Groupe Alliances. The project will be carried out by Alliances Hotel Investment, a newly-established company owned by EBRD (40%) and Alliances Hospitality (60%).The first hotels will be constructed in Casablanca and Marrakech, then in other Moroccan cities as Tangier, Rabat and Oujda.

Maldives opposition to campaign in Sri Lanka

MDP has appealed on all Maldivian residents living in Sri Lanka to participate in the event.While the main ruling party’s campaign activities are blowing full steam ahead, President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih is seen to be joining the weekend activities held in outlying islands. Main ruling Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) has announced that they will be hosting a parliamentary campaign event in Sri Lanka, Raajje.m reported.As part of the preparations for the upcoming parliamentary elections in April, the party launched their Agenda 19 campaign slogan. The event will be held at 7pm on 13th March (Wednesday) at the Shahran Banquet Hall, in Kalubowila. Several Maldives Government ministers will be joining the event along with former President and MDP leader, Mohamed Nasheed. As such, last weekend the President and ex-President Nasheed travelled to Addu City to launch the campaign events of their candidates in the many districts of the city.President Solih is scheduled to visit three atolls this weekend as well. He will be travelling to Vaavu, Lhaviyani and Noonu atolls. read more
