This is the fourth mohalla clinic in the deputy chief minister’s constituency, with 4 more expected to come up by Novemeber.”The Delhi government is working on the health and education of its citizens in a manner never done in India before. We have a dream for Delhi –that if you fall ill anywhere in the city, an MBBS doctor should be available within 1km to treat you. Whichever area you live in, whether you have money in your pocket or not, you’ll have a doctor to treat you,” Sisodia said at the event. We want Delhi to be famous for having a doctor for every resident within a kilometre,” Sisodia said. The Deputy CM said four more clinics are in the pipeline for Patparganj. “One clinic had to be demolished because of the petty politics of the BJP, which we’ve now built here. We have plans for more. What we get in return is the smile on the faces of satisfied Mohalla Clinic patients,” said Dy CM Sisodia. “Our earnings aren’t money or fancy posts, our wealth is the smile on the face of mohalla clinic patients, the confidence in the gait of our government school students. Own these achievments, celebrate them. Engage with BJP workers on them. Tell BJP people, this is what we have done. Now show me what you have managed to do,” Sisodia added. Speaking about Delhi government schools, Sisodia said: “You must be aware that our schools posted a pass percentage of almost 95% in Class 12 board exams this year. Well, today, the results of compartmental exams have come out, and the pass percentage is now 96.5%. This has never happened in Delhi before.” Sisodia also put in a special request to the doctor who will run the mohalla clinic. “Mohalla clinic doctors have become known for their pleasant behaviour with patients. I request you to carry on this tradition. Not for me, but for the other members of your fraternity who have built this wonderful image of the mohalla clinics,” the deputy CM said. “I am very happy and impressed with the clinic that has been set up, and the pace at which all the work was done. I have been given every equipment I asked for. You don’t always expect such alacrity from governments,” said a doctor.last_img read more
