Prepared by FFWPU Lithuania Starting with the nati

first_imgPrepared by FFWPU LithuaniaStarting with the nation’s Independence Day on February 16, Lithuanian schools had their winter holidays, and we organized a workshop for Second Generation during this week, from February 19 to 22, 2019The theme of the workshop was “True Parents Are My Parents.” We asked the neighboring countries, Latvia and Estonia, if they had school holidays at the same time, but they did not, so the workshop was planned only for Lithuanian young people. The participants were all 7 to 12 years old, and the children who were older than that led the teams, acted as emcees, organized sports and games, guided the creative activities and shared their experiences during lectures and discussions. The adult participation was minimized to only Donatas Jurkevicius, who did the cooking and assisting, and National Leader Aram Karagezian, who did the lecturing and supervising. It all worked out very nicely. The team of six older children, age 14 to 17, centering on Artur Karagezian, the main designer of the program, did a very good job in conveying True Parents’ heart and what it means to them personally to live with True Parents. The eight participants were overwhelmed and inspired by this innovative workshop. We hope that this feeling of True Parents’ love and care will be present with them always, and that they will grow to be secure and go in their elder brothers’ and sisters’ footsteps.last_img read more
