Grant Ave., in the 244th district court, presided over by Judge James Rush. Court records show Robert Garcia listed as Perches’ court-appointed attorney.The victim told police Perches started abusing her when she was 6 years old, and continued to do so until she told her mother in February, the report detailed.The abuse began with Perches reportedly touching the victim’s breast, anus and vagina over her clothes, the affidavit said. The victim also told police that Perches sexually assaulted her in a number of ways and that the majority of the abuse took place in her mother’s bedroom.The victim further described to police how Perches would make her go to the bathroom to clean herself up after he was finished, the report stated.Perches reportedly threatened to hurt the victim’s mother if she told her, the report stated.After being examined by a sexual assault nurse, evidence was found corroborating that penetration had occurred, the affidavit detailed.Perches was charged in March with continuous sexual abuse of a child, a first-degree felony.Jail records show Perches was taken to the Ector County Detention Center on March 1, where he is still being held with a bond set for $200,000.Court records list Perches as having a trial date set for 9 a.m. Jan. 29.last_img
