Get ready for some bass in your face! Three of the most esteemed bassists in the jam world are teaming up for a very special performance at LOCKN’ Festival. Though the set will only be accessible to Super VIPs, the combination of Phil Lesh, Mike Gordon, and Dave Schools is sure to drop the jaws of any bass-loving fan. The three will perform on Saturday of the festival, alongside members of the Hard Working Americans.Gordon and Lesh recently teamed up for the Big Bass Bash at Terrapin Crossroads, where the two bassists performed some Grateful Dead songs with a handful of Phish tunes thrown into the mix. You can watch highlights and check out the full setlist from that show, right here.The “Steal Your Bass” set comes as part of the festival’s Super VIP Performance Lineup, which includes a Thursday night set from Brendan Bayliss & Jake Cinninger of Umphrey’s McGee, and Anders Osborne performances on both Friday and Sunday before Phish and during Phish’s set break. There will also be a late night Infamous Stringdusters set for Super VIPs as well on Friday night, and a DJ Logic-hosted dance party on Sunday night.Furthermore, the festival has announced that Anders Osborne will be joining the Phil Lesh & Friends lineup on Saturday.
