Abigail Edgar and Janae Ricks had two hits apiece. Ryley Pas’cal led Skaneateles with two hits and two RBIs as Cottrill scored twice.But when Solvay took its turn against Skaneateles a day later, it wasn’t as close, though the 19-8 margin did not reflect how it started.The Lakers answered a five-run Bearcats rally in the top of the second with six runs in the bottom of the second. But Solvay struck again in the fourth, scoring seven times to move in front for good.Hannah Martineau and Caitlin McCann each piled up five RBIs and combined for seven hits. Sidney Chaffee added three hits as she and Izzy Lambert both drove in two runs. Jordan Bamba scored four times to match Chaffee and also doubled.Pas’cal did hit the game’s only home run for Skaneateles, while Hannah Blowers had two RBIs. Maeve Canty, Tatumn Pas’cal, Natalie Yokom and Laci Galdis also drove in runs.Meanwhile, Westhill could not keep Cazenovia from a fourth consecutive victory as those other Lakers topped the Warriors 12-6, using five runs in the fifth inning to take control and adding three runs in the seventh.Belle Cassidy and Ariel Cassidy had two hits apiece, with Ricks adding an RBI and Tatiana Wicker scoring twice. Elora Wilmot and Samantha Morgan each hit home runs for Cazenovia and got two RBIs apiece.Skaneateles, on Thursday afternoon, saw a big lead get away in an 11-9 defeat to Weedsport.Trailing 3-2, the Lakers appeared to seize control when it batted around in the bottom of the fourth and scored seven times, Ryley Pas’cal getting three RBIs as Galdis drove in two runs.All of this was negated, though, when Weedsport got a run in the fifth, four runs in the sixth and three runs in the top of the seventh to reclaim the lead for good.
