Local county councillor Micheal Mac Giolla Easbuig was part of the meeting. He said such lines are under-utilised and should be opened and joined up again.“These walks go through beautiful scenic areas and are a rich asset for local communities and visitors alike, steeped as they are in the history and culture of the area.“It was a very positive and constructive meeting. Anyone who wants to get involved in discussing the possible extension can please contact me or Committee in Loughanure. “The old railway routes are an under-used asset generally throughout the county and I support any efforts to make them accessible and useful to our communities.”WEST DONEGAL ‘WALKS THE LINE’ IN THE HUNT FOR STUNNING SCENERY was last modified: December 16th, 2015 by StephenShare this:Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window)Click to share on Twitter (Opens in new window)Click to share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window)Click to share on Reddit (Opens in new window)Click to share on Pocket (Opens in new window)Click to share on Telegram (Opens in new window)Click to share on WhatsApp (Opens in new window)Click to share on Skype (Opens in new window)Click to print (Opens in new window) Tags:donegalrailway walkslast_img
