first_img 1 Eden Hazard told everyone England would be in the World Cup semi-finals before we even dared to believe football was coming home. What’s more, he predicted Belgium would meet the Three Lions in the final almost a month ago, something which remains a real possibility. On June 12th, two days before the tournament began, the Chelsea winger shared his predictions on Instagram. They have become frighteningly accurate. Hazard said the Red Devils would beat Brazil in the quarter-finals to set up a semi-final with France, who he expected to beat Uruguay in the last eight. And while he got three of the four semi-finalists, he had England to play Argentina rather than Croatia in their last-four clash (but he did have us down to beat Colombia in the last 16).Three Lions fans will be hoping he gets one thing wrong and Belgium don’t emerge victorious from his predicted final on Sunday. Both sides met in the group stage but fielded weakened sides as qualification was already secured. Belgium edged it 1-0 courtesy of an Adnan Januzaj curler.Hazard and his Red Devils take on France tonight at 7pm.
